INTELLIGENT BED

Abstract

In the house, the bed is a basic necessity. As we know bed is only available with bookshelves and most desks, beds or other furniture are sold separately. This causes the space in the room to be narrower and movement less restricted. Therefore, this INTELLIGENT BED is produced as an innovative product to help others especially student to save space in their room because the study desk can be kept in and also have a bookshelf that can give convenience to the users. Besides, single bed with attached desk is an efficient way to do some work, then take a few steps and fall into bed. An observation and survey were carried out to know what can be improved from the existence single bed for our product. Besides, some reading also had been done to know what the suitable size for a single bed and good design for the desk. Therefore, the size of this product is 1150mm×2200mm×950mm while the size for the desk is 600mm×685mm and the material that we used are pine wood and rubberwood. After the product are produced, a survey had been conducted to see if the Intelligent Bed really convenience and give benefits to the users and to see if there any improvement that can be made for the single bed. As the result, intelligent bed really can give convenience and help the user feel more comfortable to do revision while can take a rest after study for a long time. There are few improvement need to be made with the table top and the bookshelf which is use the wood that more lighter such as wood plastic composite. Last but not least, the finishing also need to be improved a little bit to ensure the Intelligent Bed become a good looking product
