KAIDAN ( TANGGA AMPAIAN )

Abstract

In this era of globalization, the use of stairs and hangers is a basic need in a home. However, these two tools have used up a lot of space. Therefore, to optimize the space, an innovation has been produced namely ‘KAIDAN’ which combines step ladder and clothesline. In addition, the problem that has been studied to achieve this innovation goal is the unpredictable seasonal conditions such as the rainy season making it difficult for homeowners especially flats and apartments to dry clothes. The first objective of this project is to produce a ladder of three functions, namely the hanging and drying of clothes and construction to go up and down between high places. The second objective of this project is also to optimize residential space such as flats and apartments. The scope of this project specializes in drying clothes washed using a washing machine only. In addition, studies have been done and written in the form of methodology, among which is a study through the guidelines of fabric delivery in multi-storey residences. The second study was conducted through a survey of multi-storey housing in Perumahan Rakyat 1 Malaysia (PRIMAU1) which is located next to the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Polytechnic. After analyzing the data obtained, the results obtained show that some of the population in Shah Alam does not have enough space to store stairs and hang clothes. Finally, the proposed product improvement is that this product will dry the clothes in a shorter time.
