The purpose of this project produced is to improve the management of iron waste by the iron manufacturing industry and higher education institute which requires iron workshops. The results of our study on this issue have yielded results and three statements of the problem is the use of present iron bins when flooded with excessive iron chip waste, are failing to store it efficiently, the side of sharp iron chips are endangering the safety of workers and students, and dust due to corrosion pollutes the Workshop air. Based on the problems, an iron chip compacting machine design has been produced to compact various iron chips into cuboid shapes. In addition, some of the project scopes that have been set for this project are machine size are not exceeding 30cm × 40cm × 67cm, cube size 10cm × 10cm × 10cm and semi -automatic machine mode. This project uses specific materials for each machine part. The compressed chamber uses stainless steel material and other parts such as levers and beams use mild steel. Subsequently, the project will be produced according to a flow chart that has used appropriate assembly and welding techniques. Finally, the whole project succeeded in producing a cube with a volume. Based on these results, the results of analysis and discussions that have been conducted, it can be concluded that this 'Chip Compactor' machine has achieved the objectives that have been discussed. In addition, this tool has also been proven to be able to influence every workers and student.en_US
