dc.description.abstract Gas leak detector is a device that can detect gas leaks that occur in buildings. Some gases can be detected at an early stage by consumers except butane and propane gases. This is because, the presence of butane and propane gases is difficult to detect at an early stage by consumers. Therefore, this gas leak detector is able to detect butane and propane gas leaks that occur in residential homes and in restaurants. In addition, it can give an early signal to the user so that the user is aware of the presence of butane and propane gas. Thus, consumers can act quickly to overcome the problem of gas leakage. We have also made questionnaires to residents of residential houses and some restaurants by distributing questionnaires to them. As a result, almost half of them are unaware of the dangers of such butane and propane gas leaks. Therefore, this project has been tested in several residential houses and in restaurants. As a result, the project works well and can send a signal to the user when it can detect the presence of butane and propane gas via short message system (SMS) and a powerful alarm device that can be heard as far as 25 meters. In addition, users can also find out the percentage rate of butane and propane gas concentrations displayed on the LCD screen of the project. The proposed improvement for this project is that we have added LCD screens, and GSM en_US
