dc.description.abstract An inquiry into the use of coconut shell charcoal as a possible cement replacement and as a way to absorb water in floor tiles. It's because the issue in these studies is the excessive use of cement in walls and the desire to use coconut shells as charcoal in civil engineering. Four different ratios of coconut shell charcoal will be employed in this experiment. Portland cement, sand, and charcoal made from coconut shells were the main ingredients used. The floor tiles with coconut shell charcoal must undergo strength and water absorption tests as part of the investigation's solution. The floor tiles with 3% coconut shell charcoal had a compressive strength that was higher than the control specimen after 14 days of testing, coming in at 14.7 MN/m2. The water absorbency test will take into account the moisture content. The strength and durability of floor tiles are stronger when a tile's water absorption is reduced. en_US
