Abstract: Agricultural waste materials and annual plants have become alternative raw materials for the production of particleboard. There's a lot of demand for wood product in wood industry, but the supply for timber is decreasing cause of the lack of timber's resources. We use corn stalk as a alternative for producing wood product which are the particle board. Commonly after harvesting, the corn stalks removed in many ways. One of them are burning the corn stalks. This activity may cause to air pollution since no one took action in this problem. The objective in this study is to produce particleboard from corn stalks. The first method is we dry the Corn Stalks then obtain the moisture content in Corn Stalk. Next, prepared the resin that are needed and mix with particle corn stalks. Lastly, put the particle corn stalk that have been put on the resin into the hot press then the panel is ready. This project is about to find the ability of non-wood material in construction. This project also approaching in using of corn stalks in making composite as a alternative for non-wood materials. We would like to present the corn stalks as agriculture waste, and we would like to change the waste to wealth that can bring a lots of benefits toward humans and world. The results that we got led us to potential use of corn stalks as a source making raw material. The previous result obtained are used as reference of the data for our futher research.
