Abstract: In construction projects, brick is an important element of building material. Labour output in brick work is used to make accurate work estimates as well as plan measures to increase the productivity of bricklayers. Through the productivity study of bricklayers, the speed of time in brickwork will be obtained and this will be able to get a faster estimate of time for brickwork. The duration for brickwork depends largely on the amount of brickwork involved in the construction. The duration of brickwork greatly affects the progress of the project which if the brickwork is not completed, many other works cannot be done. So, the duration of brick work needs to be estimated accurately in the preparation stage of project work progress planning so that the progress of the construction project runs smoothly. The objective of this project is to produce a portable bricklaying tool and to test the time taken by a bricklayer by using a bricklaying tool rather than using the conventional method. To produce this product, we design this bricklaying tool and find which material is suitable according to the product we designed and we choose EG plate is suitable in construction of our product. This product is expected to work faster and more efficient than conventional method which use a normal trowel. As the results,we run atest on our product then we got the time taken for our product is 35% more faster than conventional ways. Finally, creating a bricklaying tool that can access hard to reach surface or high places.
