PORTABLE COOLER FOR PDP

Abstract

Air conditioning is a technology that has many variations. For example, air conditioning unit in home, in car and even portable air conditioners. Nowadays, knowledge of air conditioning is very important especially for those who want to venture into a career related to this field. But we as students at Polytechnic Shah Alam (PSA) have a lack of knowledge about air conditioning systems. Among the problems faced by students and instructors at PSA is the lack of teaching aids for air conditioning systems. This causes students to be less exposed to the knowledge of air conditioner components and how it works. Therefore, one of the objectives of the implementation of this project is to enable students to improve their knowledge and ability in understanding about the air conditioning system. In addition, this project is to ensure that students at the end of their studies are able to apply their knowledge, understanding and practical skills in the outside world. At the same time, this project is also implemented to differentiate the components of car air conditioners and home air conditioners. Among the methods we implement in building this project is that we design a simple and uncomplicated plan to be used as a base for this portable cooler. Some iron rods were cut and welded to make the base. The components have also been installed and what we find is that it performs its function as a good teaching aid. But this project also has its shortcomings among which is that the design can be further reduced so that it does not take up much space
