Abstract: Cerebral palsy (CP) is a disability to move or maintain balance or posture. This disability connected with brain problem where caused by abnormal brain development. Person that have this disability will have difficulty to control their muscles, motor functioning, posture and balance. Their ability to write is the most affected by CP because difficult on doing the first step of writing which is grabbing a pencil or pen. Cerebral palsy kids have difficulties in controlling their movements and experience hand fatigue while writing. The objective of this study is to produce writing equipment for cerebral palsy. The scope of this study include the effectiveness of writing equipment and questionnaire conducted to ensure that the product constructed in accordance with criteria set that is practical and effective to CP kids. Methodology that have been used in this project are designing and producing writing equipment for cerebral palsy kids for writing ability. In this project the material used are pine wood, wing screw and steel. The size of this product is 40cm length and 20cm wide. As a result of this design, it can help cerebral palsy kids in writing ability with writing equipment for CP kids which they capable of grabbing a pencil in comfortable way. For the recommendation for this project is to make improvements to the shape and can also be folded and put in a box that is easy to carry.
